Job summary

Essentia Health Deer River Hospital, MED SURG department, is seeking a dedicated registered nurse to provide patient care through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation. The role involves delegating tasks to licensed staff and contributing to the facility’s mission and regulatory compliance.

Qualified candidates hold a BSN or ADN, a current state nursing license, and required certifications (BCLS, ACLS, CALS/TNCC, ENPC or PALS). FTE is 0.6 with day/night rotation.

Qualifications

• BSN or ADN degree from an accredited school or college of nursing.
• Current license with the appropriate State Board of Nursing.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification or ability to become certified within 1 month from date of hire.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification or ability to become certified within 1 year from date of hire.
• Comprehensive Advanced Life Support (CALS) certification or Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) OR MN State Trauma Modules within 1 year from the date of hire.
• Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC) certification or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification or ability to become certified within 1 year from date of hire.
• Trauma Care After Resuscitation (TCAR) or Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) within 1 year from the date of hire only required to obtain once.

Responsibilities

• Provide organized nursing care to patients through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
• Delegate aspects of care to other nursing personnel based on licensure and job descriptions.
• Contribute to the mission and goals of Essentia Health and comply with applicable regulatory requirements.
