AdventHealth in Dade City, Florida, is seeking a perioperative nurse to join our team. In this role you will support surgical patients, maintain sterile technique, and assist with pre- and postoperative assessments while ensuring patient safety and privacy.

Qualifications

Job Description:

• Assures appropriate traffic control in the operating room.
• Initiates the incident reporting mechanisms when indicated.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Utilizes appropriate channels of communication when initiating change, reporting information or concerns.

• Recognizes abnormal diagnostic laboratory data, blood gas values, radiologic data, and knows the implied significance of each.
• Recognizes emergency situations and reacts efficiently and appropriately.

Work Experience:

• 1+ of general nursing experience in an acute care setting. [Preferred]
• 2+ of nursing experience in the required specialty [Preferred]
• 2+ years circulating and/or scrub experience required in a multi-specialty setting. [Preferred]
