Position Summary
Under the direction of the Nurse Manager, Operating Room, and in accordance with established organizational and departmental policies, the Registered Nurse First Assistant (RNFA) plays an integral role in surgical procedures by supporting the lead surgeon throughout all phases of the operation.
The RNFA is responsible for providing advanced nursing care, including first assist functions such as tissue manipulation, hemostasis, suturing, and wound management, ensuring optimal patient outcomes and adherence to the highest standards of perioperative practice.
