Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a registered nurse to deliver evidenced-based patient care within a collaborative care team. You will perform patient assessments, administer medications, and document care using Point-of-Care systems.

Candidates must hold a New Jersey RN license, complete BLS/CPR within 60 days, and pursue a BSN within three years or participate in our Nurse Residency. Six months of nursing experience or active residency participation is required.

Qualifications

• NJ State Professional Registered Nurse License is required.
• AHA BLS/CPR certification is required within 60 days of hire.
• BSN in progress and/or willing to acquire within three (3) years of hire.
• Six (6) or more months of relevant nursing experience OR active participant in Hackensack Meridian Health's Nurse Residency Program.

Responsibilities

• Delivery of nursing practices according to up-to-date evidence-based research, nursing policies, and standards of care to provide safe and excellent patient care.
• Ongoing communication with patients, nursing colleagues and health care team regarding patient status and plans.
• Medication administration utilizing bar-scanning and documentation technologies to ensure safe delivery.
• Point-of-Care electronic documentation of patient assessments, plan-of-care, interventions and evaluation.
• Patient and family centered education to optimize health and disease management.
• Multidisciplinary discharging to ensure safe transition and continuum of care.

Education

NJ State Professional Registered Nurse License
