Job summary

Evanston Hospital seeks an experienced RN for Adult Psychiatry to join our clinical team in Evanston, IL. Evening shift 3:00-11:30pm with rotating weekends and holidays, full-time 40 hours per week.

You will provide safe, compassionate psychiatric nursing care for adults, guide unlicensed staff, and collaborate with the health care team to ensure patient safety and positive outcomes. IL nursing license and BLS/CPR required; BSN preferred.

Qualifications

• Current IL nursing license.
• Graduation from an NLN-accredited nursing school (BSN preferred).
• BLS/CPR certification from the American Heart Association.
• Preferred experience in adult psychiatry.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include

Providing safe, effective, and compassionate nursing care for adult psychiatric patients, utilizing the nursing process to plan, implement, and evaluate care plans, guiding unlicensed staff, and collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes and safety.

Qualifications

Current IL nursing license, graduation from an NLN-accredited nursing school (BSN preferred), BLS/CPR certification from the American Heart Association, and preferred experience in adult psychiatry.

Skills

Strong clinical assessment, communication, teamwork, and patient advocacy skills are essential. Ability to work independently and lead interdisciplinary care.
