Position Overview

The Staff Registered Nurse is responsible for managing and delivering patient care using the nursing process. May be required to float to other units and participate in on-call status. This role requires population-specific competencies and adherence to National Patient Safety Goals based on patient contact level.

Qualifications

1. Current RN licensure in Oklahoma or multistate license from a Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC) member state.
2. Minimum 2 years RN experience.
3. Completion of professional nurse and unit orientation, including skills checklists.
4. Core competencies demonstrated within 90 days; unit-specific competencies within 12 months.
5. Current BLS certification upon hire or within 30 days.
6. Effective communication in English.
7. Department-specific competencies during orientation.

Additional Requirements

• Must operate a vehicle (INTEGRIS-owned or personal) with a valid Oklahoma driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
• For Hospice: Must have a valid Oklahoma driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
• For Emergency Department: ACLS certification within 6 months; PALS within 12 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assess, develop, implement, and evaluate patient care plans.
• Supervise and coordinate care provided by licensed and non-licensed personnel.
• Provide mentorship to staff and students.
• Report to the appropriate manager, director, or VP.
• Mental health staff must assist with patient physical restraints using approved techniques.

Work Environment & Physical Demands

Potential exposure to hazards, including infectious diseases, chemicals, and workplace violence. Must follow safety protocols. May involve physical demands such as lifting and dealing with interruptions, noise, and odors.

May require floating to other units and being on call.
