Lake Butler Hospital is seeking an experienced ER Nurse RN to provide quality nursing care in the emergency room. The role involves patient assessment, documentation, coordination of care, and compliance with hospital policies. Candidates should have a minimum of three years medical/surgical experience and be licensed as an RN in Florida.
Lake Butler Hospital is a critical access hospital in North Florida providing 24-hour emergency services, inpatient hospitalization, swing bed program, rehabilitation services, outpatient laboratory, and outpatient radiology (X-ray, ultrasound, and CT Scan) services to Union County and the surrounding counties. ER Nurse RN
Works under the ER supervisor and director of nursing and is responsible for the coordination of total nursing care in the emergency room department. The ER Nurse is responsible for ensuring quality nursing care through the nursing process of assessment, triage, implementation, and evaluation. He/she is responsible for the orientation, assignment, supervision, evaluation, and teaching of those under his/her direction. The ER nurse manages the shift to optimize workflow. The ER Nurse ensures compliance with all operating policies and procedures of Lake Butler Hospital and AHCA regulations. The ER Nurse's duties encompass those of the RN job description, along with the following specific functions.
Education: Minimum Graduate of an accredited school of nursing and currently licensed in the state of Florida as a registered nurse (RN).
Experience: Minimum of three years medical/surgical experience. Preferred or Specialized: One year experience in emergency room or critical care is preferred.
Skills: BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications required. Certifications in ACLS and PALS may be obtained within 3 months of hire.
