• ACLS must be obtained within 90 days; BLS within 30 days of start date.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care in accordance with policies and procedures for the CCL/EP Lab.
• Assess patients, administer medications, monitor hemodynamics, and document procedures.

Job Summary and Qualifications

JOB SUMMARY:

We are seeking a Cardiac Cath Lab/EP Lab to join our healthcare team. Your primary function is to provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols of the healthcare organization. You will proactively assume responsibility and accountability for several patients during a designated time frame while following policies and procedures. You will work with a phenomenal team that cares like family and works together in a collaborative manner.

The CCL/EP Lab RN is responsible for providing a safe and meaningful service to the CCL/EP Lab RN patients. To this end (s)he must be familiar with all necessary equipment involved in performing such duties, and be able to operate such equipment when needed. He/she must have knowledge of cardiovascular anatomy, hemodynamics and sterile technique. The CCL/EP Lab RN responsibilities include patient assessment, patient care, medication administration, conscious sedation administration, hemodynamic monitoring and documenting of the procedures, circulating Cath lab/EP lab procedures and location/use of all supplies, troubleshooting of clinical equipment during procedures, proper patient set up, maintenance of sterile technique. (S)he must have a good understanding of the whole scope of procedures performed and is expected to act upon his/her own initiative in the operation of the CCL/EP Lab. The CCL/EP Lab RN must be able to perform in a fast paced environment with a teamwork approach. The position may require on-call rotations. May be required to work at Ocala Regional Medical Center, West Marion Community Hospital, or The Free Standing Emergency Department.

Job Requirements:

• Associates Degree in Nursing or Diploma in Nursing Required, Bachelor Degree in Nursing preferred

• Florida RN license and/or approved multistate RN license required. Compact license holders have 60 days to obtain the Florida license after relocation

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
