Job summary

HCA Florida Ocala Hospital in Ocala, FL is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our team. We are a 323-bed ACS Level I Trauma Center delivering patient-centered care across orthopedics, cardiovascular, emergency, and neurological services.

The RN will perform procedures, document care, educate patients and families, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate treatment plans and improve outcomes. A Florida RN license, ACLS/BLS within timelines, and an Associate Degree are required.

Qualifications

• Florida RN license required.
• ACLS must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date.
• BLS must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• Associate Degree required.

Responsibilities

• Performs procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by the medical provider(s). Documents the administration of care in the patient medical record in a timely and thorough manner.
• Teaches patients/families/caregivers about patient medical condition, status, treatment plan, medications and possible side effects, and follow-up measures; translates complex medical terminology for full understanding.
• Teaches patients/families/caregivers about non-medicinal follow-up measures, such as healthy diet and exercise, disease prevention, and lifestyle changes; prepares patients for future self-management.
• Manages evidence-based practices and continuous process improvement initiatives to meet and exceed quality measures and enhance care.
• Coordinates, evaluates, and delivers a holistic patient treatment plan in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.

Job Summary And Qualifications

• Teaches patients/families/caregivers about any non-medicinal follow-up measures, such as healthy diet and exercise, disease prevention, and/or other lifestyle changes. Prepares patients and families/caregivers for future self-management.
• Manages evidence-based practices and continuous process improvement initiatives to meet and exceed quality measures and enhance the exceptional care provided to patients.
• Manages the quality of care by collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate, evaluate, customize, and deliver a holistic patient treatment plan that promotes and supports recovery.

What qualifications you will need:

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (AHA) must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Florida RN license and/or approved multistate RN license required. Compact license holders have 60 days to obtain the Florida license after relocation.
