Job summary

Baptist Clay is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Endoscopy Team. This PRN position involves providing high-quality nursing care for endoscopic procedures, with duties spanning pre/post-assessment and patient education.

The RN will collaborate with the gastroenterology team, ensure patient safety during conscious sedation, and coordinate care across services. A licensed RN with 2–3 years of surgical services experience is required.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years Surgical Services Nursing experience required.
• BLS and ACLS required.
• Licensed RN with AS/BS in Nursing.
• Emergency Department experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in Endoscopy.
• Educate patients and families about disease process and plan of care.
• Demonstrate knowledge of gastroenterology care and conscious sedation.
• Perform pre/post procedure patient assessments.

As an RN in Endoscopy, you will be responsible for:

• Assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation supervision of care provided by supportive personnel and coordination of care provided by ancillary services
• Education of patients/SO/families to their disease process and plan of care
• Knowledge of all areas of care to Gastroenterology and conscious sedation
• Ability to perform patient assessments pre/post procedure
• This position requires call
• Must live 40 minutes from hospital.

Experience Requirements:

• 2-3 years Surgical Services Nursing Experience Required

• Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Required
