Job summary

Huebner-Ambulatory-Surgery-Center-1 is seeking a patient-focused Registered Nurse for our Endoscopy/GI team in San Antonio, TX. You will assess, prepare, monitor, and educate patients through GI/endoscopy procedures and recovery stages.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing and valid RN license in the state of practice.
  • BLS and ACLS certifications are required.
  • Two years of Endoscopy/GI or ambulatory surgery nursing experience preferred.
  • CNOR certification is preferred; PALS may be required for certain patients.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive nursing care for GI and endoscopy patients throughout the continuum of care.
  • Perform assessments, obtain histories, monitor status, administer medications, and respond to changes in condition.
  • Prepare rooms and patients for procedures; assist physicians during interventions.
  • Support infection prevention practices and regulatory standards.
  • Educate patients and families on preparation, recovery, medications, and discharge.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and collaborate with the care team for quality outcomes.
