AdventHealth Minneola's 80-bed hospital will provide inpatient care to the growing South Lake County population. The facility spans approximately 204,000 square feet and includes an emergency department, full-service imaging, five operating suites, endoscopy services, outpatient laboratory, heart catheterization labs, critical care, and medical/surgical rooms. The role you’ll contribute to:

The Registered Professional Nurse (RN) provides and supervises direct and indirect nursing care to specific age groups. Utilizes the nursing process (assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating) to meet nursing department goals. Adheres to the AdventHealth Corporate Compliance Plan and all relevant regulations. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and maintains respectful relationships with patients, families, and colleagues.

• Completes timely assessments including physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual, and lifestyle factors, with attention to signs of abuse or neglect. Makes appropriate decisions and interventions based on patient needs (ANA, 2012).
• Sets measurable, achievable goals based on assessments, develops and implements individualized care plans, and evaluates and adjusts these plans as needed. Practices whole-person care addressing mind, body, and spirit (King, 1995).
• Assesses and interprets diagnostic data, including lab results and monitoring data, relevant to patient age and condition. Applies knowledge of diagnoses, procedures, medications, and equipment associated with the patient population.
• Ensures patient safety by adhering to infection prevention, medication safety policies, and patient teaching opportunities, in line with the care plan.
• Promotes an exceptional patient experience through compassionate communication, effective interactions, and thorough handoffs. Uses appropriate techniques and verbiage tailored to patient understanding. Communicates effectively within the interdisciplinary team and follows the chain of command when needed.

Qualifications:

• Graduate of a school of nursing
• Current valid State of Florida or multistate license as a Registered Nurse
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
