Summary

The Registered Nurse will assume responsibility for coordinating care focused on patient education, self-management, and customer satisfaction throughout the continuum of care. The nurse will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care based on age-specific components.

Qualifications

Basic Requirements:

• English Language Proficiency
• In accordance with 38 U.S.C. 7403(f), no person shall serve in direct patient care positions unless proficient in basic written and spoken English.
• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing (ACEN or CCNE)
• OR enrolled in a master's level bridge program in nursing with coursework equivalent to a bachelor's degree in Nursing
• Upon licensure, may be appointed temporarily and later converted to permanent
• Foreign nursing graduates must possess current, full, active, and unrestricted registration
• Credit for higher foreign education requires degree equivalency validation
• Current unrestricted RN license in the US or territories
• Graduate Nurse Technician (GNT) exception: candidates without licensure may be appointed temporarily while pursuing licensure

Preferred Experience: Experience in GI/Bronchoscopy or procedural settings.

Physical Requirements: Standing, walking, stooping, bending, reaching, lifting, turning, restraining patients, repositioning, transferring, and transporting patients. Exposure to infected materials and the need for protective clothing. Ability to lift over 50 pounds and work in various physical positions.
