Job description

Summary

Delivers fundamental knowledge-based care to assigned clients while developing technical skills. Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates care based on age-specific components. Coordinates care focused on patient education, self-management, and customer satisfaction throughout the continuum of care. Administers medications and procedures per established policies and guidelines.

Qualifications

Basic Requirements:

• English Language Proficiency
• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing (ACEN or CCNE)
• OR enrolled in a master's level bridge program in nursing with coursework equivalent to a bachelor's degree in Nursing
• OR foreign nursing graduates with current, unrestricted registration and degree validation
• Current, full, active, and unrestricted nursing license in the U.S.
• Graduate Nurse Technician (GNT) candidates may be appointed temporarily while pursuing licensure.

Preferred Experience: 1 year of previous nursing experience.

Duties

• Provide competent, evidence-based procedural care to patients, overseeing licensed vocational nurses and health/nursing assistants as appropriate.
• Coordinate patient care, health promotion, education, and coaching on wellness, disease prevention, and chronic care management.
• Assist in nursing education, orientation, and quality improvement initiatives.
• Partner with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams to promote effective and safe transitions of care.
• Manage care for patients undergoing therapeutic and diagnostic endoscopy procedures, including assessments, education, and documentation.
• Provide feedback for peers and foster a professional development environment.
• Evaluate outcomes of evidence-based practices and document program or service-level outcomes.
• Maintain proficiency with endoscopy equipment and recognize changes in patient care situations to initiate emergency responses.
• Perform other duties as assigned, including on-call responsibilities.
