Job Summary: The Endoscopy RN provides direct patient care using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice. Reports to: Director of Endoscopy Department.

Qualifications
  • Education: Associate's Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • License: Current RN license to practice in TX. New graduates may work under a provisional license for up to 6 months, with the expectation to obtain a full license within that period. If not obtained, practice must cease immediately.
  • Certifications: BCLS; ACLS required within 6 months of hire.
Skills and Responsibilities
  • Requires critical thinking, decisive judgment, and ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Performs interventions including medication administration, specimen collection, and clinical treatments.
  • Documents patient care and monitors, records, and communicates patient conditions appropriately.
  • Assists patients with activities of daily living and collaborates across disciplines for comprehensive care.
  • Provides education to patients and families tailored to their age, culture, and condition.
  • Acts as an advocate for the patient's physical and emotional well-being.
