Position: Endoscopy RN provides direct patient care to patients using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice.

Reports to: Director of Endoscopy Department

FLSA: Non-exempt

Qualifications

• Education: Associate's Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's Degree preferred
• License: Current RN license to practice in TX. New graduates may work under a provisional license for up to 6 months, with the expectation to obtain a full license within that period. If not obtained, practice must cease immediately.
• Certifications: BCLS; ACLS required within 6 months of hire

Essential Functions

• Performs care interventions including medication administration, specimen collection, and clinical treatments.
• Documents patient care accurately.
• Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition to the care team, physician, patient, and family.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living.
• Collaborates across disciplines for coordinated care, including transfers, discharges, referrals, and psychosocial support.
• Evaluates learning needs and provides education tailored to patient/family.
• Acts as an advocate for the patient's physical and emotional well-being.
