Located at University Hospital, endoscopy is a 6-bed unit where the RN will circulate and assist the physicians with Endoscopy procedures! The nurses on this unit see patients who experience issues with their GI tract from their mouth to their bottom or lung problems. We work up pre-transplant patients, treat esophageal and gastric varices, GI bleeds, esophageal and colonic stents, diagnose cancers with endoscopic ultrasounds, all biliary and pancreatic patients with ERCP's, many advanced interventional GI procedures (POEM, ESD, EMR). We diagnose many lung cancers with the advanced navigational ION robot, EBUS as well as perform all bronchoscopies.
