McLaren Health Care is seeking a registered nurse to deliver nursing care during night shifts in the Emergency Services department. The role follows hospital policies, nursing process guidelines, and standards of care, with a 72-hour biweekly schedule.

Essential duties include patient assessment, planning and implementing the care plan, patient education, and supervising ancillary staff. Required credentials include MI RN license, BLS, ACLS within six months, and ED-specific certifications

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current Michigan RN license.
• BLS certification as Healthcare Provider.
• ACLS required within 6 months of hire.
• PALS/TNCC/ENPC within 1 year for ED.
• NRP within 1 year for OB department.
• Experience in specialty area may be required to maintain competency.

Position Summary

Responsible for the delivery of nursing care within the assigned unit scope of practice following hospital policies and procedures, nursing process guidelines, standards of care, and standards of practice.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

• Assesses each assigned patient, documents and evaluates their response to plan of care, and takes appropriate corrective action.
• Plans and implements the patient’s plan of care/standard of care and provides patient teaching using the plan of care/standard of care.
• Oversees all ancillary personnel for technical tasks.

Required

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Experience in specialty area will be considered. Experience specific to the unit/position may be required to maintain overall competency level of unit, as required by regulatory agency.
• Current State of Michigan Registered Nurse license.
• American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS certification as Healthcare Provider.
• ACLS required within six months of hire.
• PALS, TNCC and ENPC within one year for Emergency Department.
• NRP within in one year for the OB Department.

Preferred

• One year of professional nursing experience.
