Job summary

McLaren is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Services department on the night shift (7:00 pm - 7:30 am). The role delivers nursing care within unit scope, adheres to hospital policies, and follows established care guidelines.

Bi-weekly hours total 72 with on-call and weekend requirements. Requirements include a Michigan RN license, BLS with ACLS within six months, and PALS/TNCC/ENPC within one year for ED, with NRP within one year for OB.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current Michigan RN license.
• BLS certification required; ACLS within 6 months; PALS/TNCC/ENPC within 1 year (ED) or NRP within 1 year (OB).

Responsibilities

• Assess patients, document responses, and adjust the plan of care as needed.

Position Summary:

Responsible for the delivery of nursing care within the assigned unit scope of practice following hospital policies and procedures, nursing process guidelines, standards of care, and standards of practice.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

1. Assesses each assigned patient, documents and evaluates their response to plan of care, and takes appropriate corrective action.
2. Plans and implements the patient’s plan of care/standard of care and provides patient teaching using the plan of care/standard of care.
3. Oversees all ancillary personnel for technical tasks.
   Required:

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Experience in specialty area will be considered. Experience specific to the unit/position may be required to maintain overall competency level of unit, as required by regulatory agency.
• Current State of Michigan Registered Nurse license.
• American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS certification as Healthcare Provider.
• ACLS required within six months of hire.
• PALS, TNCC and ENPC within one year for Emergency Department.
• NRP within in one year for the OB Department.
