Job summary

Goodall-Witcher-Healthcar is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Room nights in Clifton, TX. The role involves assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating each ER patient’s care, while coordinating discharge teaching and ensuring safety in a busy hospital setting.

Qualifications include graduation from an accredited School of Nursing, Texas RN licensure, ER experience, and strong oral/written communication skills. ACLS/BLS preferred with willingness to work in all hospital areas.

Qualifications

• Must have effective oral and written communication skills.
• Must be able to stand and/or walk for extended periods.
• Must be able to bend, stoop, reach, push, pull and lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Assist or perform assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of assigned ER patients.
• Plan, provide, and document discharge planning, teaching, and patient/family education for optimal health and continuity of care.
• Ensure the plan of care is carried out in a safe environment through supervision of the healthcare team.
• Provide education to patients, family or others as assigned.
• Willingness to work in all areas of the hospital.

Description

Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing. Currently licensed with the State of Texas. Emergency Room experience required. Must have effective oral and written communication skills. Must be able to stand and/or walk for extended periods of time. Must be able to bend, stoop, reach, push, pull and lift up to 50 pounds. Occasional heavy lifting may be required.
