Job summary

Manchester Memorial Hospital, Inc. in Windham, CT is hiring a Registered Nurse for the 7:00 PM–7:30 AM night shift. This role involves 24 hours with every other weekend and 2-week rotations.

Eligible for an $8,000 bonus with Hartford HealthCare connections and a focus on high-quality patient-centered care. You will perform nursing duties, coordinate with the interdisciplinary team, and provide age-appropriate care under the supervision of the Clinical Nurse Manager.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing with CT licensure as an RN.
• BLS and ACLS certification required by hire or within orientation.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality direct and indirect patient-centered care using the nursing process.
• Coordinate patient care with the interdisciplinary team and communicate changes in condition promptly.
• Demonstrate age-appropriate care and report to the Clinical Nurse Manager.

Shift Detail: 24 hours- Night shift: 7P-7:30A, Every other weekend. 2-week rotations: W1: Sunday & Thursday W2: Friday & Saturday, etc.

POSITION SUMMARY:

Utilizing the nursing process, provides high quality direct and indirect patient –centered care. Coordinates patient care by working collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team. Communicates, as appropriate, the patient's clinical condition, responding quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment. Demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and the skills necessary to provide age appropriate care to the patient population served. Promotes the profession of nursing and professional practice through collegial support and interactions. Reports to the Clinical Nurse Manager.

Qualifications

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:

• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of Nursing with a current licensure in the State of Connecticut.
• Must have certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support and Advanced Cardiac Life Support upon hire or receive certification within the new employee introductory orientation period and maintain clinical competency during employment with Hartford HealthCare in this role.

COMPETENCIES:

• Must be able to effectively communicate verbally as well as in writing using the English language.
• Possess basic computer skills.
