Job summary

Hartford HealthCare in Connecticut is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide high‑quality direct and indirect patient care using the nursing process.

You will coordinate patient care with the interdisciplinary team, communicate changes promptly, and deliver age‑appropriate care across the life span. Must hold CT nursing license, CPR/ACLS, and demonstrate strong communication and computer skills; night shift and every‑other weekend may apply.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of Nursing with a current licensure in the State of Connecticut.
• Certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support and Advanced Cardiac Life Support upon hire or within orientation period.
• Excellent verbal and written communication in English; basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process to provide high quality direct and indirect patient care.
• Coordinate patient care by collaborating with the interdisciplinary team.
• Communicate patient condition promptly and accurately to changes in treatment or response.
• Provide age-appropriate care across the life span.
• Promote professional nursing practice and report to the Clinical Nurse Manager.

24 hours- Night shift: 7P-7:30A, Every other weekend. 2-week rotations: W1:

• Sunday & Thursday
• W2: Friday & Saturday, etc.

POSITION SUMMARY:

Utilizing the nursing process, provides high quality direct and indirect patient –centered care.

Coordinates patient care by working collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team.

Communicates, as appropriate, the patient's clinical condition, responding quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment.

Demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and the skills necessary to provide age appropriate care to the patient population served.

Promotes the profession of nursing and professional practice through collegial support and interactions. Reports to the Clinical Nurse Manager.

Qualifications

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:Must be a graduate of an accredited school of Nursing with a current licensure in the State of Connecticut.Must have certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support and Advanced Cardiac Life Support upon hire or receive certification within the new employee introductory orientation period and maintain clinical competency during employment with Hartford HealthCare in this role.COMPETENCIES:Must be able to effectively communicate verbally as well as in writing using the English language.Possess basic computer skills.
