Job summary

Hartford HealthCare, CT, invites an experienced Registered Nurse to join the night shift team at Manchester Memorial Hospital, Inc. This role delivers direct and indirect patient-centered care using the nursing process and supports the interdisciplinary team.

You will monitor patients, respond swiftly to changes, document care, and contribute to professional practice. A CT license with BLS/ACLS certification is required; shift is 7:00 PM–7:30 AM with every other weekend.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing with current CT licensure.
• Certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) upon hire or within orientation period.
• Certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) upon hire or within orientation period.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality direct and indirect patient-centered care using the nursing process.
• Coordinate patient care with the interdisciplinary team and communicate changes in condition promptly.
• Maintain professional practice through ongoing learning and uphold clinical competency.

Shift Detail: 24 hours- Night shift: 7P-7:30A, Every other weekend. 2-week rotations: W1: Sunday & Thursday W2: Friday & Saturday, etc.

POSITION SUMMARY:

Utilizing the nursing process, provides high quality direct and indirect patient –centered care. Coordinates patient care by working collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team. Communicates, as appropriate, the patient's clinical condition, responding quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment. Demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and the skills necessary to provide age appropriate care to the patient population served. Promotes the profession of nursing and professional practice through collegial support and interactions. Reports to the Clinical Nurse Manager.

Qualifications

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:

• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of Nursing with a current licensure in the State of Connecticut.
• Must have certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support and Advanced Cardiac Life Support upon hire or receive certification within the new employee introductory orientation period and maintain clinical competency during employment with Hartford HealthCare in this role.

COMPETENCIES:

• Must be able to effectively communicate verbally as well as in writing using the English language.
• Possess basic computer skills.
