Job summary

Prime Healthcare's Southern Regional Medical Center in Riverdale, GA is seeking an Emergency Room RN for the night shift. This full-time role runs 12-hour nights, 7:00pm–7:00am, with a $15,000 sign-on bonus for qualified candidates and a night differential.

The ER RN delivers rapid acute care, triage, medication administration, and supports ACLS/PALS/ENPC protocols, while educating patients and families and coordinating with the care team to stabilize and discharge patients.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN License.
• BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• ACLS certificate within 30 days of hire and maintain current.
• PALS certificate and/or ENPC within 30 days of hire and maintain current.
• Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients upon arrival to determine condition severity and prioritize care.
• Provide direct care including administering medications and monitoring vitals.
• Assist with ACLS, PALS, and trauma care to stabilize patients as needed.
• Manage high-stress situations while caring for multiple patients.
• Educate patients and families about conditions and discharge instructions.

Location: Southern RegionalMedical Center – Riverdale, GA

We are seeking an Emergency Room RN, also referred to as an Emergency Department RN or Emergency Services RN. The ER RN provides rapid and skilled care to patients who arrive at the hospital seeking emergency medical attention. The ER Nurses are skilled professionals who play a critical role in delivering emergent and urgent care to patients in the emergency department.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients upon arrival to determine the severity of their condition and prioritize care accordingly, follow standardized triage protocols to quickly identify patients who require immediate attention due to life-threatening conditions

• Provide direct care to patients with a wide range of medical conditions and injuries which may involve administering medications, performing procedures such as wound care or splinting, monitoring vital signs, and managing pain

• In cases of severe illness or trauma, you may assist with stabilizing patients and initiating life-saving interventions, this can include advanced cardiac life support (ACLS), pediatric advanced life support (PALS), and trauma care

• Manage high-stress and rapidly changing situations effectively. remain calm, focused, and decisive while providing care to multiple patients simultaneously during busy shifts or mass casualty events

• Educate patients and their families about their medical conditions, treatment options, and discharge instructions

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

1. Current and valid state RN License.2. Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.3. Current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current. 4. Current PALS certificate and/or ENPC 30 days upon hire and maintain current. 5. Basic Arrythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.6. Minimum of one year experience as a staff nurse RN in an acute care hospital setting; E.R. setting preferred.7. Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) preferred.8. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Facility Specific Requirements (facility may require items listed below):

1. In Paramedic Base Station ED: MICN within 12 months of hire and maintain current. 2. EDAP certified facilities: Completion of emergency pediatric course 1 and 2 within 6 months of hire.3. Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNNC) within 12 months of hire required.
