Job Description

The Registered Professional Nurse is responsible for managing patient care in the Emergency Room, utilizing the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient outcomes.

Qualifications / Job Requirements

1. Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
2. Currently licensed as a Registered Professional Nurse in NYS.
3. Ability to pass Critical Care exam within one month of employment or possess a current CEN certificate.
4. Previous Emergency Department experience preferred.
5. At least one year of medical/surgical experience as an RN.
6. Meet physical pre-placement screening requirements.
7. Experience in ambulatory care or physician office practice, supervisory experience is a plus.
8. High interpersonal skills for interaction with patients, families, staff, and management.
9. Highly motivated with flexibility to work outside normal hours based on volume.
10. Ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously.
11. Strong organizational and collaborative skills.
