Job summary

CareWell Health is seeking a registered nurse to treat health problems using nursing diagnoses and case management. The role involves teaching, counseling, and providing supportive care to patients and families.

Responsibilities include triage, initiating procedures per protocol, crisis intervention when needed, and coordinating care across departments while upholding infection control standards.

Qualifications

• Active RN license to practice in New Jersey.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
• IV Certification preferred.

Job Summary

Treat actual or potential health problems using the nursing diagnosis and case management. Teach, counsel and provide supportive care to the patient and their significant others

Essential Functions

• Interviews patient (if possible) and/or family to obtain required history and make an accurate assessment.
• Assigns a triage priority based on observations and available information.
• Initiates diagnostic and therapeutic measures as indicated by standing protocols.
• Calls for crisis intervention if appropriate.
• Communicates and acts as liaison between the patient, family, and health professionals in a manner that respects confidentiality and dignity.
• Coordinates the needs of the patient with supporting departments and assists in solving problems related to the welfare of patient and staff.
• Charts concisely, descriptively, and legibly indicating patient’s progress or lack or progress.
• Performs nursing procedures safely and efficiently.
• Demonstrates understanding of, and adheres to, the hospital’s infection control protocols.
• Demonstrates compliance with exiting standards and policies.

Minimum Education/Certifications

Graduate of an accredited program in nursing. Current Registered Nurse license to practice in the state of NJ. Certifications required: BLS (American Heart Association), ACLS - Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support and PALS – Pediatric Advanced Life Support. IV Certification preferred.

Minimum Work Experience

2 year or more experience in an acute care setting preferred. Critical care experience preferred

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

Must be willing to work holidays, weekends and provide additional coverage as needed
