Job summary

Cameron Health in Angola, IN seeks an experienced Emergency Department Registered Nurse. You will perform timely initial assessments, triage patients, and support throughput while maintaining patient safety and clear communication with the ED team.

The role requires Indiana RN licensure, BLS/ACLS/PALS, and ED experience. The shift is 0.9 FTE (72 hours bi-weekly) with day coverage and a flexible scope for triage or bedside duties.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited professional nursing program; BSN preferred.
• Current RN license in Indiana.
• Minimum of 2 years Emergency Department nursing experience.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, NIMS 100/200/700, TNCC within specified timelines.

Responsibilities

• Perform timely initial assessments and triage of ED patients.
• Assign acuity levels according to triage process.
• Communicate patient acuity and bed assignments to Charge RN.
• Continuously reassess patients and recognize changes in condition.
• Initiate approved nursing protocols and standing orders as appropriate.
• Maintain accurate documentation of triage assessments and reassessments.
