Saint Francis Hospital in Wilmington, DE is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department. This full-time position (36 hours/week) covers a 7:00 pm to 7:30 am shift, with every third weekend and rotating holidays.

The RN collaborates with a geriatric-focused ED team in a Level III unit that values work-life balance and professional growth. You will provide patient-centered care, document assessments, and participate in multidisciplinary rounds to ensure high-quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred.
• Current RN licensure in Delaware.
• ER/Acute care experience required.
• BLS and ACLS certification required; PALS within 6 months.

Responsabilités

• Adheres to hospital nursing practice standards, with assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care.
• Assist the emergent patient and document on Emergency Room nursing tool.
• Identify patient needs based on data and document accordingly.
• Implement appropriate nursing actions for identified patients.
• Make decisions reflecting knowledge and sound judgment.
• Discuss planned patient care with patient and family and document it.
• Utilize multidisciplinary approach to deliver patient care.

Overview Of Department

Serving Wilmington community and Northern New Castle County, the Emergency Department at Saint Francis Hospital is a Level III Trauma, 27-bed unit. We care for various types of patients and are the first and only Geriatric certified Emergency Department in Delaware. As a Registered Nurse You Will

• Adheres to hospital nursing practice standards, demonstrates appropriate assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care.
• Assist the emergent patient and documents accordingly on Emergency Room nursing tool.
• Identifies patient needs based on objective data and follows through with appropriate documentation.
• Implements appropriate Nursing actions to each patient that needs to be identified.
• Makes decisions that reflect both knowledge of facts and sound judgment.
• Discusses with and includes patient an/or family significant other about planned patient care and expected outcomes and documents same.
• Identifies and appropriately utilizes multidisciplinary approach to facilitate delivery of patient care.

Minimum Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Nursing required; BSN highly preferred
• Current Licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Delaware
• Previous ER and/or Acute Care experience required
• BLS and ACLS certification required; must obtain PALS within 6 months of employment
