Job summary

Endeavor Health is seeking an experienced RN for the Elmhurst ED, nights position at Elmhurst Main Hospital. You will work 7:00pm–7:00am, with every third weekend and rotating holidays, totaling 36 hours per week.

The role focuses on delivering high-quality emergency nursing care and patient monitoring. Required: State of Illinois RN license, CPR, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS within 3 months, and a Bachelor's in Nursing (or ADN with planned BSN within five years).

Qualifications

• Requires 1+ years' experience in the emergency department unit.
• Bachelor's Degree or higher in Nursing.
• If Associate Degree in Nursing is the highest degree held, must graduate with a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing within five years of position start date.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care in accordance with the Illinois Professional Registered Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies.
• Assess patients' condition, recognize changes, plan and evaluate care, monitor progress and document observations.
• Delegate appropriate patient care tasks and work as part of a cohesive unit to meet unit goals.

Hourly Pay Range: $36.00 - $55.80 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Endeavor Health is currently conducting a comprehensive review of our compensation structure. The new minimum for this role will be adjusted to $37.25 base pay hourly rate beginning with the second paycheck in October 2026.

What you will need:

Preferred Education, Skills and/or Experience:

• Bachelor's Degree or higher in Nursing

Required Education, Skills and/or Experience:

• Requires 1+ years' experience in the emergency department unit
• Associate Degree or higher in Nursing If Associate Degree in Nursing is the highest degree held, must graduate with a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing within five years of position start date.

Required License and/or Certification:

• Current State of Illinois Registered Nurse licensure
• Current CPR Certification issued by either American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) within three months of start date into position
• Pediatric Life Support (PALS) within three months of start date into position
• Stroke Scale Certification (NIHSS) within three months of start date into position

What you will do:

Provides professional nursing care according in accordance with the Illinois Professional Registered Nurse Practice Act, and hospital policies and procedures. Employs critical thinking skills, assesses patients' condition, recognizes changes, plans and evaluates care, monitors patients' progress, and records pertinent observations. Delegates appropriate patient care tasks to other staff. Functions as a team member to fulfill unit goals.
