Job summary

Endeavor Health in Plainfield, IL is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department on an evening schedule. This part-time role offers 24 hours per week with 9:00am–5:00pm shifts and every third weekend plus rotating holidays.

The candidate will provide professional nursing care, assess patients, document observations, and work as part of a patient‑centred care team in accordance with state Act and hospital policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing required; RN license in Illinois.
• Current CPR certification; ACLS within three months of start; PALS within three months of start; NIHSS certification within three months of start

Responsibilities

• Provides professional nursing care in accordance with the Illinois Professional Registered Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies.
• Assesses patients' condition, recognizes changes, plans and evaluates care, monitors progress, and records observations.
• Delegates appropriate patient care tasks to other staff and works as a team member to fulfill unit goals.

Hourly Pay Range: $36.00 - $55.80 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Endeavor Health is currently conducting a comprehensive review of our compensation structure. The new minimum for this role will be adjusted to $37.25 base pay hourly rate beginning with the second paycheck in October 2026.

Position Highlights:

Position: Registered Nurse- Emergency Department

Location: Plainfield, IL

Part-Time: 24 hours/week

Hours: Evening 9:00am-5:00pm with every third weekends and rotating holidays

What you will need:

• Education: Bachelor's Degree or higher in Nursing; If associate degree in nursing is the highest degree held, must graduate with a bachelor's degree in nursing within five years of position start date.
• License: Current State of Illinois Registered Nurse licensure
• Certification: Current CPR Certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross); Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) within three months of start date into position; Pediatric Life Support (PALS) within three months of start date into position; Stroke Scale Certification (NIHSS) within three months of start date into position

Employs critical thinking skills, assesses patients' condition, recognizes changes, plans and evaluates care, monitors patients' progress, and records pertinent observations.
