Job summary

AdventHealth is seeking a skilled registered nurse in Wesley Chapel, FL, to join our Night shift team. The role focuses on thorough patient assessments, individualized care plans, and precise medication administration within a supportive, faith-based setting.

You will educate patients and families, collaborate with the multidisciplinary team, and document care in our EMR while maintaining high standards of safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Associate of Science degree in nursing or equivalent is required.
• Six months of hospital nursing experience on hire or completion of AHWC Graduate Nurse Training Program.
• Active Florida RN or APRN license required on hire.
• Current BLS certification on hire and then renewed quarterly.
• Current ACLS certification on hire and then renewed quarterly.
• NIHSS Certification on hire.
• Stroke Education: 8 hours within 6 months, then annually.
• Hip & Knee Replacement / Spine Education: 8 hours within 6 months, then annually.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to gather data on health status and needs.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans based on assessment findings and diagnoses.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring safety.
• Monitor and evaluate patient responses, adjust care plans as needed.
• Provide education and counseling to patients and families about conditions, treatment, medications and self-care.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care.
• Document care activities and outcomes in the EMR accurately and timely.
• Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and organizational policies.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.
• Supervise and mentor nursing staff to ensure high-quality care.
• Maintain a safe environment by adhering to infection control policies.
• Respond promptly to life-threatening situations using established protocols.

Job Description

The Expertise And Experiences You’ll Need To Succeed

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing with a minimum of an Associate of Science degree upon hire
• Six months of hospital nursing experience upon hireORsuccessful completion of the AHWC Graduate Nurse Training Program
• Active Florida RN or APRN license required upon hire.
• Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or RQI upon hire and then renewed quarterly following RQI protocols
• Current American Heart Association Advanced Life Support (ACLS) certification or RQI upon hire and then renewed quarterly following RQI protocols
• Current NIHSS Certification upon hire.
• 8 hours Stroke Education within 6 months of hire date, then annually.

Pay Range

$31.85 - $52.76
