Indiana University Health System in Fort Wayne, IN seeks experienced registered nurses for night shift roles at Fort Wayne Hospital. Part-time and full-time positions offer a $30,000 sign-on bonus and relocation incentives to eligible candidates.

As an RN, you will provide evidence-based care across the care continuum, collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, participate in teaching and mentoring, and uphold the ANA standards and the organization's Code of Ethics.

Qualifications

• ASN required; RN must have graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program.
• Active RN license in Indiana or NLC RN license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required per AHA.
• Additional Advanced Life Support certifications may be required per unit/department.
• Exceptions: candidates without a national accreditation may be considered with >2 years acute care experience, subject to CNO review.
• BSN preferred but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate evidence-based nursing care along the care continuum.

The Clinical Nurse reflects the mission, vision, and values of Indiana University Health, adheres to the organization's Code of Ethics and Corporate Compliance, and complies with all relevant policies, procedures, guidelines and all other regulatory and accreditation standards. The registered professional clinical nurse (RN) is accountable and responsible for the provision and coordination of competent, evidence-based care along the care continuum, which includes assessment, diagnosis, outcome identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The clinical nurse participates in decision-making, teaching, mentoring, and collaboration with the multidisciplinary team to advance the patient plan of care, achieve outcomes and enhance operational efficiency. The nurse adheres to the ANA Scope and Standards of Professional Nursing and the Code of Ethics for Nurses with Interpretive Statements.

Qualifications:

• Requires an Associates of Nursing (ASN); Bachelor of Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Education: The Registered Nurse (RN) must have graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program.
• Exceptions: Candidates who have not graduated from a nationally accredited program may be considered if they possess more than two years of acute care experience. Such exceptions are subject to review and approval by the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO).
• Requires an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license.
• Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.
• Other advanced Life Support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.
