• Hours: Full Time (36 hours/week)
• Schedule: Rotating between Day/Evening (7am-7pm) and Evening/Night (7pm-7am), including weekends and holidays

Summary

As a Registered Nurse (RN), you are the core of patient care at Rochester Regional Health, making a positive impact daily through compassionate, respectful, and courteous care.

Unit Description

Join our dynamic Emergency Department with 11 medical beds and 6 psychiatric beds, offering urgent care for medical, surgical, trauma, pediatric, orthopedic, psychiatric, behavioral health, and occasionally OB/GYN and dental issues. This environment is fast-paced and diverse, presenting daily challenges and opportunities to impact lives.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, patient-centered clinical care
• Perform initial and ongoing assessments, utilizing appropriate data
• Communicate and document assessments with the interdisciplinary team
• Develop and document individualized care plans
• Follow organizational policies, including safety and medication protocols
• Revise care plans based on evaluations and document updates
• Complete at least one clinical research utilization (CRU) form annually using recent U.S.-based research
• Accumulate at least 5 nationally approved contact hours (CNE or CEU) per year
• Complete mandatory in-services and health screens timely
• Maintain Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Minimum Qualifications

• Diploma or Associate’s Degree in Nursing
• RN license in New York State
• BLS certification

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
