Job summary

Prime Healthcare is seeking an Emergency Department Registered Nurse for the Southern Regional Medical Center in Riverdale, GA. The role supports emergent and urgent care delivery with 12-hour Day shifts.

Qualified candidates hold an RN license, BLS, ACLS, PALS/ENPC, and related experience; BSN preferred. A sign-on bonus may be offered and multiple certifications are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN License.
• Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• ACLS certificate within 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
• PALS certificate and/or ENPC within 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
• Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.
• Minimum of one year experience as a staff nurse RN in an acute care hospital setting; ER setting preferred.
• Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) preferred.
• BSN preferred.
• MICN within 12 months of hire in Paramedic Base Station ED; EDAP certified facilities: completion of emergency pediatric course 1 and 2 within 6 months; TNNC within 12 months required.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients on arrival to determine severity and prioritize care using triage protocols.
• Provide direct care including medications, wound care, splinting, monitoring vitals and pain management.
• Assist with stabilizing patients and initiating life-saving interventions (ACLS, PALS, trauma care).
• Manage high-stress, rapidly changing situations and deliver care to multiple patients.
• Educate patients and families about conditions, options and discharge instructions.

Location: Southern Regional Medical Center - Riverdale, GA

We are seeking anEmergency Department RN,also referred to as an Emergency Room RN (ER RN) or Emergency Services RN (ES-RN).TheEmergencyDepartmentRN provides rapid and skilled care to patients who arrive at the hospital seeking emergency medical attention. The ER Nurses are skilled professionals who play a critical role in deliveringemergentand urgent care to patients in the emergency department.

Responsibilities

If you have experience asaRegistered NurseinCritical Care,Intensive Care Unit (ICU),Cardiac Care, Telemetryor Emergency Department, you are encouraged to apply!

• Assess patients upon arrival todeterminethe severity of their condition and prioritizecareaccordingly, follow standardized triage protocols to quicklyidentifypatients who require immediate attention due to life-threatening conditions

• Provide direct care to patients with a wide range of medical conditions and injuries which may involve administering medications, performing procedures such as wound care or splinting,monitoringvital signs, and managing pain

• In cases of severe illness or trauma, you mayassistwith stabilizing patients andinitiatinglife-saving interventions, this can include advanced cardiac life support (ACLS), pediatric advanced life support (PALS), and trauma care

• Managehigh-stressand rapidly changing situations effectively. remain calm, focused, and decisive while providing care to multiple patients simultaneously during busy shifts or mass casualty events

• Educate patients and their families about their medical conditions, treatment options, and discharge instructions

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

1. Current and valid state RN License.2. Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.3. Current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current. 4. Current PALS certificate and/or ENPC 30 days upon hire and maintain current. 5. Basic Arrythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.6. Minimum of one year experience as a staff nurse RN in an acute care hospital setting; E.R. setting preferred.7. Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) preferred.8. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Facility Specific Requirements (facility may require items listed below):

1. In Paramedic Base Station ED: MICN within 12 months of hire and maintain current. 2. EDAP certified facilities: Completion of emergency pediatric course 1 and 2 within 6 months of hire.3. Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNNC) within 12 months of hire required.
