Job summary

Regions Hospital in St. Paul, MN is seeking patient-focused Registered Nurses to join our Emergency Department team. You will work in a fast-paced ED with 55 treatment rooms and a large clinical space, delivering exceptional care at the bedside.

Qualified candidates have MN RN license, 1 year ED/ICU/ER experience, and nursing degree. BLS/ACLS needed; NIHSS by hire; TNCC or PALS/ENPC by hire. Night shift 11 PM–7:30 AM with every 3rd weekend.

Qualifications

• Minnesota RN license is required.
• One year ED/ER/ICU RN experience is required.
• Graduate of accredited nursing program (ADN/BSN/MSN).
• BLS and ACLS required through AHA; NIHSS required by time of hire; TNCC or PALS/ENPC by time of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient-centered nursing care in a fast-paced Emergency Department.
• Assess and triage patients, monitor vitals, administer medications and treatments.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary team to ensure timely, high-quality care.
• Participate in shared governance and evidence-based nursing practice.

Our Emergency Department (ED) is comprised of 50,000 square feet of clinical space with 55 treatment rooms. An additional 8,000 square feet houses the resident room, library, conference space and administrative offices. It also includes private rooms, in-department radiology suite, discharge pharmacy, waiting room and triage area, employee lounge and locker room, and five care areas (pods), including an 11-bed care pod for our crisis/behavioral health patients. It is designed to treat patients in acuity-based care pods. You will find yourself in a fast-paced environment with over 90,000 ED visits per year. Join our team and make good happen!

Work schedule:

11 PM-7:30 AM, flex, every 3rd weekend.

Required Qualifications:

• Licensed as a registered nurse by the State of Minnesota.
• One year of recent ED / ER, Critical Care, or ICU RN experience is required.
• Completion of an accredited associate’s, bachelor’s, or master’s degree program in Nursing.
• Certifications:
  • BLS for healthcare providers and ACLS are required through AHA.
  • NIHSS is required by time of hire.
  • TNCC and either PALS or ENPC - ability to obtain by time of hire.
