Job summary

UVM Health in Middlebury, VT is seeking registered nurses for the Emergency Department. You will join a multidisciplinary team dedicated to delivering compassionate, high-quality care to diverse patients in a fast-paced setting.

During orientation you will receive BLS/ACLS training; ENPC, TNCC, and PALS may be pursued within the first year. Signing incentives and relocation assistance are available, along with structured preceptorships and continuing education.

Qualifications

Unit Description: At Porter Medical Center Emergency Department, you will be part of a multi-disciplinary team that strives to deliver highly skilled and compassionate care to all of our patients.

The Emergency Department is a fast paced, exciting and very unpredictable 10- 12 bed unit. We are dedicated to ensuring that you are successful and have a positive experience during your orientation.

During your first six months we will sign you up for BLS/ ACLS, and ideally within your first year ENPC (emergency nurse pediatric course), TNCC (trauma nurse core course) and PALS (pediatric advanced life support). These courses enhance your ED nurse tool kit but are better taken after gaining some experiences to relate them to.

On-call: Not required.

Requirements:

• Current RN licensure or compact licensure recognized by the State of Vermont required.
• Appropriate experience in specific clinical area. Varies by unit.
