Job description

This position is Sign-On Bonus Eligible Join the dynamic team at Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital (SBCH), the region's undisputed leader in high-acuity care. We are the only ACS-certified Level 1 Trauma Center and Level 2 Pediatric Trauma Center in the area, a Comprehensive Stroke Center, and a STEMI receiving center. Our commitment to clinical excellence is further demonstrated by our Joint Commission Sepsis Care Certification and our system-wide Silver-Level Geriatric Emergency Department Accreditation (GEDA).

As the central hub for Cottage Health, our ED is the designated receiving center for adult and pediatric emergencies. We've built specialized programs to support this critical work, including a revolutionary Vertical Care treatment area to enhance patient flow and a dedicated ED psych holding unit staffed by specially trained ED Psych RNs.

Our department is built on a foundation of excellence and teamwork, which is reflected in our 4-star CMS rating for Patient Satisfaction and recognition as a global leader in patient satisfaction by Newsweek. You will work alongside some of the strongest Charge Nurses in the field, supported by a 24/7 Mobile Intensive Care Nurse (MICN). As the system's trauma hub, our staff shares expertise system-wide, and we serve as the primary cross-training site for nurses from our Goleta and Santa Ynez EDs, fostering a truly integrated and skilled nursing team.

Qualifications:

Eligible employees may also receive additional forms of compensation, including shift differentials, on-call pay, incentive pay, and bonus opportunities, where applicable. Manager and above positions may participate in Cottage Health’s annual management incentive program. Physician compensation is determined based upon specialty and may include bonus potential.
