Job Description

Provide safe, competent nursing care in accordance with facility policies, standards, and philosophy. Offer professional leadership and support to the healthcare team. All nursing care will be based on Patient Centered Care principles. Oversee and guide employees under your supervision. Demonstrate Service Excellence standards consistently.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

  • Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing school and completion of a specialty course or equivalent. BSN preferred.
  • Experience: 1-2 years of acute care experience or successful completion of an approved specialty course.
  • License/Certification: Current RN license in Nevada, BLS, ACLS, and PALS or NRP certification as required. Additional certifications may be required by the department.
  • Other: Must adhere to hospital competencies regarding blood-borne pathogens, age-specific care, and patient safety. An RN graduate must have completed nursing coursework and be eligible for NCLEX; an interim RN license is required.

Testing: Must pass any pre-employment assessments required by the department.
