Reporting to the unit's Nurse Manager, you will collaborate with care team members to ensure high-quality, patient-centered nursing care and adherence to care plans.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program required.
• Baccalaureate degree in Nursing preferred.
• 1-3 years related work experience preferred.
• License Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts required.
• American Heart Association – Basic Life Support Certificate required. ACLS required for some specific clinical units.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct care to patients and makes necessary nursing judgments.
• Coordinates the care of patients and directs assistive personnel for safe, effective, timely, patient-centered care.
• Works in collaboration with other health professionals to determine healthcare needs of patients and families.
• Educates patients and families according to care plan and discharge needs.
• Maintains annual mandatory education requirements and participates in quality improvement activities.
• Demonstrates commitment to patients, colleagues and Mount Auburn Hospital.
