Job Responsibilities

• Responsible for providing clinical education to both clinical and non-clinical staff.
• Facilitate education, delegation, and coordination of clinical care to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Assess and ensure employees' understanding of clinical programs and materials.
• Develop and organize in-service training and educational programs in collaboration with department leaders.
• Create, maintain, and present educational materials and sessions, including chemotherapy, biotherapy, oncology courses, and other developmental opportunities.
• Participate in and document completion of hospital regulatory and department-required continuing education programs, adhering to standards from organizations like ONS and NCCN.
• Work with physicians, staff, outside agencies, and the Enterprise Education Team to develop effective clinical educational programs.
• Assist in organization and rollout of enterprise-wide policies and education initiatives.
• Plan and facilitate ongoing education for clinical staff, including new products and equipment.
• Collaborate with department leaders to evaluate the effectiveness of education programs.
• Support onboarding of new employees.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of related experience, including ICU experience.
• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN).
• Current Illinois RN license.
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association upon hire.
• ACLS certification through the American Heart Association upon hire or before completing orientation.
• American Heart Association Instructor for BLS and ACLS preferred; OCN or CCRN certification is a plus.
