Job summary

Pro Med Healthcare Services in Austell, GA is seeking a dedicated RN for Emergency Department care on a 13-week contract. The role involves triage, direct patient assessment, medication administration, and collaboration with physicians to develop care plans. Requirements include active GA RN license; BSN preferred (ADN considered with experience).

BLS and ACLS are required; PALS/TNCC may be requested. Weekly stipend is included.

Qualifications

• BSN preferred; ADN considered with relevant experience.
• Active RN license in GA required; current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
• Minimum 1 year of ED or critical care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to individuals in the Emergency Department.
• Conduct thorough patient assessments and triage based on severity.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed; monitor responses and document.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals on care plans.
• Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with policies and legal requirements.
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and discharge instructions.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and department meetings.

• Estimated weekly pay $1900-$2100 (stipend included)

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to individuals presenting with various medical conditions in the Emergency Department.
• Conduct thorough patient assessments and triage patients based on their clinical needs and severity of condition.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, monitoring patients' responses and documenting accordingly.
• Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare professionals in developing and implementing patient care plans.
• Maintain accurate and timely patient records in compliance with hospital policies and legal requirements.
• Educate patients and their families regarding diagnoses, treatments, and discharge instructions as appropriate.
• Participate actively in continuous quality improvement initiatives and department meetings.

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of employment.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred; Associate's degree in Nursing considered with relevant experience.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in an Emergency Department or critical care setting preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications required; additional certifications may be required. ( PALS, TNCC)
