Job summary

Premier Health Partners is seeking Tier I System-wide Staff Resource RNs who will float across campuses and units to support staffing needs. The role requires maintaining core competencies at hire and annually, and coordinating care with the interdisciplinary team to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.

Applicants must have a valid Ohio RN license and BSN (or commit to obtaining within 5 years). CPR and ACLS are required; PALS/TNCC are preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduation from accredited school of nursing; BSN required or must obtain within 5 years of hire.
• Proof of enrollment required within 6 months of hire.
• RNs with min. 2 years of acute care hospital experience may elect to forgo BSN with Professional Certification MOU within 3 years.
• Valid Ohio Registered Nurse License.
• Current CPR & ACLS certification required; PALS & TNCC preferred.

Responsibilities

• Float between campuses and units to subsidize staffing shortages as needed.

Job description

The Tier I System-wide Staff Resource RNs will float between campuses (Miami Valley Hospital, Miami Valley Hospital South, Good Samaritan Hospital, Atrium Medical Center, Upper Valley Medical Center, Jamestown, Mason, and Good Samaritan North) and will float to (1) level of specialized acuity (I.E. Emergency Departments, Dialysis units, Labor & Delivery units, Nurseries, etc.). Tier 1 System-wide Staff Resource RNs float to designated units to subsidize staffing shortages as needed. Tier I System-wide Float RN is required to maintain core competencies upon hire and annually. Tier I Staff Resource RNs receive accelerated float pay.

The clinical nurse (staff resources) functions in a multi-faceted role that demonstrates professionalism and promotes excellence in the practice of Nursing. The RN is responsible for maintaining high standards for a caseload of patients as described by the scope of care for the area of practice and demonstrates appropriate actions based on sound scientific research and evidence-based principles. The RN also coordinates/directs care delivered by the interdisciplinary team. The RN is accountable for compliance with the Ohio Nurse Practice Act, applicable regulatory standards, and institutional policies and procedures. The RN provides physical, emotional and spiritual support that directly/indirectly impacts the patient outcomes and care provided to patients/ families/ significant others.

Education
