Job summary

CHRISTUS Health in Beaumont, TX seeks a competent Registered Nurse to practice independently in a clinical setting, delivering routine and complex care while contributing to long-range patient care plans.

You will assess patients, administer medications per protocol, document care, and educate patients and families. Delegation to other care providers is possible to manage clinical situations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing, preferred.
• 1 year of nursing experience preferred.
• Current ACLS certification required.
• BLS required.
• RN license valid in state of employment or compact.
• All newly hired experienced RNs must attend New Nurses Orientation within the first 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Meets expectations of the applicable OneCHRISTUS Competencies: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders.
• Provides nursing care utilizing the nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention and evaluation for assigned patients.
• Addresses complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families.
• Administers medications and treatments per protocol; monitors side-effects and effectiveness.
• Documents patient history, symptoms, medication, and care given.
• Educates patients, family members and/or caregivers; identifies issues and resources.
• All newly licensed RNs may participate in a residency program or other orientation; competency validation.
