Job summary

CHRISTUS Health in Beaumont, TX seeks a per diem registered nurse to provide independent nursing care across shifts. Tiered base rates apply (Tier 1–4) with night/weekend differentials.

The role supports patient care using the nursing process and involves documenting history, medication administration, and education to patients and families. The schedule runs 7 AM–7 PM with flexible, per diem as needed availability; 1 year of experience preferred and BLS with RN license or compact license

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience in the related nursing specialty preferred.
• BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Meets expectations of the applicable OneCHRISTUS Competencies: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders.
• Provides nursing care utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention and evaluation for assigned patients.
• Addresses complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patient and families.
• Administers medications and treatments; monitors for side-effects and effectiveness.
• Documents patient history, symptoms, medication, and care given.
• Provides patient education to patients, family members and/or care givers.
