Job summary

Lake Huron Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse to deliver safe patient care in the DOU, using assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation. The RN will provide direct care and mentor nursing staff, while maintaining patient privacy and confidentiality.

The role requires an active State RN license, BLS, and ACLS within 30 days of hire; BSN is preferred. This is a full-time daytime position in a hospital setting within Prime Healthcare's system.

Qualifications

• Current and valid State RN License.
• Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• ACLS certificate within 30 days upon hire and maintain current.

Responsibilities

• Delivery of safe patient care using the nursing process.
• Direct patient care within the scope of practice.
• Guide patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel.
• Communicate with physicians about changes in patient condition and test results.

Responsibilities

The Registered Nurse is responsible for the delivery of safe patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation. Provides direct patient care within the scope of practice. The Registered Nurse also directs and guides patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care in the DOU. The Registered Nurse is directly responsible and accountable for the care given to his/her assigned patients. He/She communicates with the physician about changes in the patient’s clinical condition including hemodynamic monitoring, results of diagnostic studies and abnormal results and symptomatology. Is able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition and/or response to treatment. Maintains patient privacy and confidentiality.

• 1. Current and valid State RN License.
• 2. Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• 3. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
