Job summary

Care New England is seeking a registered nurse to provide professional nursing services for a defined group of patients in our Rhode Island facilities. Responsibilities include direct patient care, applying nursing processes, monitoring patient conditions, educating patients and families, and coordinating with physicians and care teams.

The ideal candidate has a nursing degree from an accredited program, RI RN licensure, and at least six months of related experience; BSN enrollment is preferred

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program and a minimum of six months job-related experience or equivalent is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care including examination and treatment under an approved protocol.
• Utilize the nursing process to implement goal-directed nursing care for a defined group of patients.
• Monitor medical condition of assigned patients at all times and report changes to the Nursing Supervisor/Physician.
• Educate patients and family regarding condition, treatment, discharge/transfer planning, and follow-up examinations.
• Maintain patient records and document care accurately and completely.
• Communicate with physicians and other departments to ensure continuity of care.
