Responsible for working with other healthcare professionals to help treat patients with inpatient diabetes care needs. Monitors patients, administers medications, keeps records, consults with healthcare providers, educates patients and more.
Principal Accountabilities:
Promotes and restores patient’s health by completing the nursing process; collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary team members; providing physical and psychological support to patients, friends, and families; and supervising assigned team members.
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Required:
1.Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program.
2.Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse.
3.BLS certification.
Preferred:
1.Bachelor’s degree in nursing.
a.All ASN must complete their BSN studies within five years of their start date.
2.Master’s degree in nursing or related field.
3.1+ year of experience in Nursing or relevant area.
4.ACLS certification.
5. CDCES certification, or ability to obtain within 1 year of hire
