Job description

Position Summary

To fulfill the needs of Diagnostic Imaging patients in a variety of age groups, their family members, and the community by performing varied patient care tasks and functions in accordance with licensure, certification, training, and regulatory requirements.

Education & Credentials

Bachelor's degree in Nursing required. Current/valid State of New Jersey license (or legal permission to work from the New Jersey Board of Nursing). Completion of general nursing orientation, CPR, ACLS and PALS certification and unit based orientation.

Schedule

This position is specifically for MRI at Luckow Pavilion 6:30am to 3:00pm, every other weekend.

Experience & Skills

• Computer and keyboard skills.
• Medical terminology required.
• CT Scan and MRI experience preferred but will provide unit based training to qualified candidates.
• Physical and cognitive requirements: full range of body motion including physically assisting patients, stretching, bending, lifting, sitting, kneeling, stooping, standing, walking, pushing and pulling.
• Very heavy work classification; may need to lift more than 100 pounds occasionally, more than 50 pounds frequently, and more than 20 pounds constantly.
• Compliance with NIOSH guidelines for lifting, not lifting more than 51 pounds without assistance.
• Manual and finger dexterity and hand-eye coordination required.
• Constant talking and listening in English; effective oral and written communication skills.
• Deductions and inductive reasoning skills.
• Considerable walking, standing, sitting, filing, typing and photocopying required.
• Attention to detail and ability to switch tasks efficiently.
• Competence in stressful situations and changing work environments related to varying patient needs.
• Cooperation within health system multidisciplinary teams (MDs, Rehab, Respiratory, DI, Laboratory, etc.).
• Effective time management and problem-solving to set priorities and deliver care.

Salary & Compensation

Pay Range: $47.80 - $59.75 per hour. Actual individual salaries vary depending on these factors. The salary listed does not include other forms of compensation or benefits.
