Job Overview – Registered Nurse (Developmental Disabilities)
Compensation: $56/hour
Location: Bronx, NY
Schedule: Monday to Friday (On-Site)

TAG MedStaffing is hiring a Registered Nurse (Developmental Disabilities) in Bronx, NY for our client, supporting nursing care, health monitoring, medical coordination, and case management for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The Registered Nurse will provide temporary coverage across two residential settings while supporting individuals with varying cognitive, health, and mobility needs. This role collaborates with clinical and support staff to maintain safe, consistent, person-centered care.

Responsibilities as the Registered Nurse (Developmental Disabilities):

  • Clinical Assessment: Assess individual health needs, monitor changes in condition, and provide appropriate nursing care and follow-up.
  • Care Management: Develop and maintain individualized nursing care plans while supporting continuity of care across residential settings.
  • Healthcare Coordination: Coordinate medical services and follow-up care to support the ongoing health and well-being of individuals.
  • Medication Support: Oversee medication-related processes and promote compliance with established nursing and medication administration procedures.
  • Clinical Documentation: Maintain accurate nursing records and clinical documentation in accordance with applicable standards and requirements.
  • Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Partner with clinical, residential, and support teams to promote individual health, safety, and quality of care.

Qualifications for the Registered Nurse (Developmental Disabilities):

  • Education: Associate degree in Nursing (ASN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is required.
  • Licensure: Active New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing is required.
  • Experience: 1–2 years of clinical nursing experience is required, with experience in developmental disabilities, behavioral health, residential care, or a related setting preferred.
  • Industry Knowledge: Knowledge of developmental disability services, residential healthcare, care coordination, medication administration, and general nursing practices is preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency with electronic health records, clinical documentation systems, and standard computer applications is required.
  • Skills & Attributes: Strong clinical judgment, communication, organization, independence, attention to detail, adaptability, and interdisciplinary collaboration skills are required.
