Job summary

Universal Health Services is seeking a Detox Unit Registered Nurse for the Northwest Specialty Hospital in Reno, NV. The position is full-time with a flexible day shift and full benefits, focusing on safe, compassionate care in a medical/telemetry setting.

You will work within a multidisciplinary Detox Center team to provide individualized care plans, including therapy, medication management, and round-the-clock support, aligning with patient-centered care standards.

Qualifications

• RN license required.
• BLS certification required.
• One year full-time or three years part-time experience in psychiatric setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Involve the patient and family psychosocial, spiritual, emotional, population-specific, and diversity needs in care assessment.
• Construct and implement the plan of care using nursing knowledge and skill; integrate direct and indirect patient care activities related to the diagnosis and co-morbidities.
• Collaborate with the patient’s care partner to meet educational, physical, psychological, and spiritual needs.

Responsibilities

Northwest Specialty Hospital, an extension of Northern Nevada Medical Center, brings expanded services to a new building located at 6225 Sharlands Ave. in Northwest Reno. The facility will offer adult behavioral health services.

The Detox Center will be managed through a multidisciplinary team including physicians, nurses, CNAs, social workers, and therapists. Patients will experience an individualized care plan, inclusive of individual and family therapy, activities, medication management, and a 24-hour secure, compassionate environment.

This Registered Nurse opportunity is full time, offers full benefits, and a convenient flexible day shift schedule. We are looking for a dynamic Detox Unit Registered Nurse that will help provide safe and compassionate care to our patients in the medical/telemetry environment.
